A couple of winners…..

October has been a good month to us here at the Ranch with Sfumato winning at Catterick on the 9th under a nicely timed ride by Andrew Mullen. Delighted for connections who are great friends with our Head lad & head lass Ben and Sue, he really was a special winner.

The end of the month brought Vivernus back into ther winners circle in the number 1 spot, which now makes him King of the Ranch with two wins under his rug lol. Hopefully he will keep going the way he is and the winter might become very exciting……

Looking forwar to November it sees the return of Xtara who has enjoyed a little down time and will hopefully enjoy the all weather season. Also an unraced two year called Gate City is set to make his debut he is a horse full of character and is extremely laid back so might take a few runs for the penny to drop. Also our stable star Sir Lancelott is going to makong an appearance with an all weatehr campaign mapped out for him, looks like our saturday nights are mapped out Wolves here we come lol

NEWS…

Well we are delighted to report that Vivernus got his head in front the 3rd time of asking from us. Andrew Mullen gave him a lovely ride and Big V loved the surface at Newcastle.

We also got 2 new yearling a Out Strip Colt and a Acclamation filly, very  nice individuals with hopefully big futures.

Munfallet ran an other solid race to finish 4th on saturday at Ripon, he is now for sale and looks like he is soon going to be in that winners spot, so dont hesitate to give Adrain a call if you are interested in him. A lovely fun horse that can run reguarly would suit a syndicate to give them lots of fun.

UPDATE…..

Sir lancelott is still enjoying his holiday he has been blessed with the weather out all day and in all night what more could he ask for….

Scooby has been having a day out with his jockey he won the fancy dress at Scorton Feast winning a thorphy much to the delight of us here at the Ranch and numerous other rosettes for games ….

We have got our first two yearling and are both lovely individuals with hopefully big futures…

Sepoy Colt

Swiss Spirirt Filly

Mia has been learning the jockey trade on Barrons Lad, he is perfect teacher and she will learn alot….

Also Mia attended Malton Open Day where they had a jockey relay show jumping competition her partner was Jason Hart he was a great sport as were all the jockey, they are a credit to racing

Xtara has had a change route for his winter campaign and is staying on at The Ranch, he has had a good 7 week break and will be aiming to run on the all weather before the end of the year and the rest up again for his 3yr old career.

Hafait Alain has had a few teething problems and will most likely not race until he is a 3yr old, he is now enjoying life and gaining a few pounds. 2019 will be his time to shine.

We have some lovely big back end 2yr olds wheter they as 2 or 3 yr olds, we will decide in time there is no rush with them but once we get the sign they are ready we will run(the horse will let us know)

We have had a few runners a long the way, we have not troubled the judge but we ahve been knocking onthe door. There is still time to get an other winner before the grass finishes, God whiling. But as first years go I reckon this has been a great one we have some lovely horse to look forward too so onwards and upwards.

Until next time x x x x

A well Deserved Holiday for SIR LANCELOTT

SIR LANCELOTT is going to enjoy a well deserved holiday he had his first run for us on the 11-08-17 at Wolverhampton, since then he has ran an other 21 times finishing 4th 5 times, 3rd 3 times, 2nd 3 times and giving us our all important first winner.

He is a wonderful horse with a big heart who runs for jockeys, apprentices, and amauters. From an aray of distances 7f to 1m 2f and every surface you can imagine. He changed ownership during he year to join The Golden Horse Syndicate, where he gained loads of followers along the way. Least of not forget his bestest friend Scooby who he will be enjoying the break out in the field all day together.

He will be back in 2019 to start of where he left off.

Sorry its been so long ….

Its been a busy month for us at The Ranch with 8 runners Sir Lancelott running 3 times, 3rd at Wolves with Harriett Lees then to Beverley with Andrew Mullen finishing a good 3rd again and his final run for July 4th for Harriett again at Beverley. He is such a fun horse who is loving life at the minute.

Then Haffet Alain won impressively at Doncaster with Andrew Mullen, he such a game 2yr old with a big heart.(he runs today at Chester)

Cheerupmylove made her reappearance after a small set back and on ground she didnt like ran a good 4th, she is a nice filly we will wait for the ground to get better before she runs again.

Xtara ran at Hamilton where he was a good 2nd then at the end of the month went to HQ and was a very game 3rd. He is a nce progressive type who is improving all the time with experience and distance.

Zalmi Force made his debut at Beverley where he was a little shell shocked, he then had his second run at Redcar where he was slightly improved. He is a horse that will need handicapping and will benefit when he can run over further.

We also got 3 new stables built an dtwo new older horse joined the team. Our hard work seems to b epaining off. We are pleased to have such good owners and great help along the way.

August Update …

WEll we started the month off hopefully as we mean to go on, as the horses are running well and in great form.

Lances’ 3 last runs have been very solid and he seemed to enjoy the ladies touch in the Amatuer race under a lovely ride from Harriett Lees

Xtara went to Hamilton where had to run with a  6lb penalty, he ran avery solid race in defeat. Xtara was a very game second and will relish the step up in trip next time out.

Vivernus has completed his 6 weeks rest and is now back inthe game, he has been the best patient so we are hoping its all systems go from now.

Th eback end of this month to the start of next we are hoping to get some more of our two year olds out, but no rush as its all head of them

WINNER WINNER ……

Xtara  having a leg stretch before his big day at Carlisle

Connections coming back into the winners circle. Happy trainer jockey and head man Ben Beasley.

Our wonderful day

Looking forward…

We are very excited to have two runners at our local track.

Hafeet Alain is having his first run in the 2.15 under Barry McHugh, he is a flashy two year old who will hopefully enjoy his first day at school.

Then our Team leader runs in the 3.45 under Andrew Mullen its his first run on grass for a long while so hopefully it will work its magic he will run well.

Happy Times …

We have had a bust few days at The Ranch, Clares’ family have been over from Ireland and her brother Alan came up From Charlie Longsdons to help us get the paddocks so the two year olds can go out.

As you can see from the pictures its been a massive success….

We also had our first Colt twoyear old runner of the year and he did not disappoint Barry McHugh has been a big part in Xtaras’ preperation so him finishing 3rd was brilliant. Also his owner Sultan Harib has been very loyal and patient, so this fella looks like he going to be troubling the judge very soon.
