This week has been busy a one and some took some of our two year old’s for a day out on the grass it was very successful and educational for the team. We were very lucky to have Tony Hamilton (Lethally Lovely) , Barry Mchugh (Queen of York ), Duran Fentiman (Lethal Force/Lady Tabhita ), and Trotter (Poetikel Piece) riding them. We brought a lead horse Five and Dime which was ridden by June Palmer Kimpton. We love taking them to Malton Gallops as they experience so much and gives the young horses a valuable experience traveling in the horse box and seeing more horse on the gallops etc.
This week also saw the return of Mia after badly spraining both ankle’s she would no way of made such a quick recovery with help of the team at The Jack Berry House in Malton. This facility is second to none and the care that goes into all the jockey’s(or in Mia’s case a soon to be apprentice) during recovery and rehabilitation is of the very highest standard. This is great place is a charity organisation so if you ever have any spare pennies please donate to the IJF and it will go a long way.
As you can see from the images the weather has been very good to us the week and we have fully embarrassed it getting the horses out in the a paddocks daily and they have thoroughly enjoyed it. So long may this lovely weather continue. Jack and Jake have become a really good team keeping the yard tidying and lunging the horses.
Everyone here at The Ranch would also like to take this opportunity to offer our deepest condolences to All the Bastiman family at this very sad time.
