Last week Tees Spirit had his first run for us at Ripon, where not only did he win the Best Turn out he also won the race under a very strong ride from Tony Hamilton. He’s a very lightly raced sprinter and we are looking forward to him giving his owners some fun days out.
Abate also made his seasonal reappearance at Ripon. Oisin McSweeney gave him a lovely ride in the apprentice race where they were a little unlucky in running and finished a very strong 2nd. Lots to look forward to with him.
Mamba Wamba had her first run of the season at Newmarket. We went into this season thinking she would be running in the Guinness but on the evidence from her first run looks like we will be dropping her back in trip 🤦♀️ (I think she has been chatting to much to Inxile who has told her to just run fast everywhere.) She came out of the race fine so we are going to draw a line under that run and more forward keeping the dream alive.
Five and Dime also ran last but unfortunately he just wasn’t in-line with racing so he was retired fully healthy and looking forward to his new career as a riding horse. Good luck Dick I’m sure you will make somebody very happy with your wonderful character.
